We have created 3D data visualisations for the City of Parramatta council in Sydney.

The City of Parramatta is a local government administration to the north-west of Sydney. They are working to improve their city and council across a variety of areas, including urban design, land use planning, precinct planning, CBD planning, social outcomes, economic development, environmental outcomes and transport planning.

Together with our partners Craig Walker, we worked with their team to identify interesting and complete streams of historical climate data available to them, and to help them build an immersive narrative experience around that data. In this case the task was to show how climate data – historical variation in rainfall, temperature, visibility, and air quality in the area – had progressed over the past five years.

This resulted in a very fun project that allowed us to combine two of our favourite areas of expertise: rapidly prototyped browser-based 3D and visual storytelling through data.
