We make the complex simple.
We prototyped key elements of Ezybin's new logistics dashboard to increase design quality and reduce production time.
In collaboration with Public Websites we built a series of rapid product prototypes for Ezybin’s internal management application. Ezybin is the leading provider of skip bins for the greater melbourne area. They approached us with a request to help bridge the gap between design and offshore development on their internal management application. The areas we focused on were:
- Decreasing the time it took to explain design interactions to the production team
- Researching and rapidly testing front-end libraries in collaboration with the design team before they were chosen for production
- Increasing the quality of these interactions through this process
- Reducing the time taken from design to build and thus reduce the cost of development
We built rapid product prototypes of key moments using the tech stack we had researched and tested. These were delivered to the production team for them to base their build on.
We investigated and built an interactive map using mapbox. Mapbox appealed due to its flexibility and ease of use for developers. We were able to pull dummy data from airtable and make a prototype that felt like the real thing. This map had been a sticking point for the design team for a long time and being able to iterate quickly before sending to production gave the designers confidence that their designed interactions were thoroughly tested.
We also worked on a highly customised search using Algolia. The functionality of this interaction was so customised that it was testing the limits of the existing data organisation. We used our prototyping process to discover that it could be done without having to drastically restructure the data architecture. Algolia was a great choice due to its lightning fast response speed.
