We use Chat-GPT to power design tools. We train it to understand the tool and then ask it to return json objects that fit into our schemas.

Chat-GPT is a language model developed by OpenAI, based on the GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) architecture. It is designed for natural language understanding and generation but often harness it to power bespoke design tools.

The nature of a systematic design tool means that each variation is described by a small javascript object. This makes it very easy for language models like ChatGPT to deliver designs back to us. These can be loaded into the tool and then tweaked by the designer to fit. This process feels very powerful to us and we continue to experiment with this in many of our projects.
